Why Use a wet mount
In a wet mount, the object is suspended in a drop of liquid (usually water) in between the slide and cover glass. The water improves the image quality making is easier to see when viewing very small things.
How to make a wet mount
Step 1. Place you object on that you want to view on the slide.
Step 2. Using an eyedropper put a drop of water on the sample.

Step 3. Place one end of the cover slip on the slide and slowly lower the other. This will help to prevent air bubbles from getting trapped under the cover slip and ruining the image
The water should just fill the space between the cover slip and the slide. If there is too much water and the cover slip is floating around, remove some water.
